Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine technical proposal storylines
  • Responsible for the written response of a single document or proposal volume (i.e. technical, past performance, management, quality control volume)
  • Serve as lead owner of the section/volume and facilitate the collection of written information, incorporate the information into its final format
  • Communicate directly with authors to ensure all information is captured and finalized for the assigned volume
  • Perform quality check prior to submitting final document
  • Analyze RFPs to determine requirements and understand how to tailor content to produce a dynamic response that positions ReefPoint Group to win
  • Collaborate with the ReefPoint Group team to clearly and concisely articulate company strengths, win themes, key differentiators, and business value proposition
  • Respond to technical proposal sections and clearly articulate the business value to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Adhere to schedules and deadlines established by the proposal manager
  • Research, prepare draft guidance material and documentation, evaluate technical alternatives and recommend preferred options
  • Develop comprehensive proposal content based on interviews with technical, program, and/or management staff
  • Convert complex documentation to clear language for different audience types
  • Professionally manage a detailed, multi-step, multi-stakeholder process that requires consistent follow-up, clear/concise communication, and persistence to guide the proposal from kick-off to completion
  • Review, edit, and proofread proposals and other materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency and compliance with firm guidelines and standards
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize assignments and complete tasks within firm deadlines and in a team environment
  • Capture essential data for the proposal content library
  • Develop RFI/RFP responses

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Computer Science, or similar field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years in federal proposal technical writing required
  • Knowledge of the federal government acquisition cycle, contract vehicles, contract types, and competitive position required
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills required
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Familiar with government contractor environment and proposals.
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Work Environment:
Work will be done in an office setting/environment and will need to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment. The person in this role will need to have the ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time and occasionally will need to move about inside an office environment. This position frequently communicates with other employees and external stakeholders. The person needs to have the ability to accurately exchange information in these settings. This position is on a hybrid work schedule, with some time spent in our Tysons Corner, VA office.
